I'm having trouble with an arthritic hip so have just bought a Yamaha X-max 250 "maxi-scoot". The layout of my garage / drive means that i go into it forwards but want to exit in the reverse direction so want to rotate the bike to point the other way. I did manage this with a 90 point turn the other day but felt there must be a better way.
I've seen people build small turntables using a lazy susan type bearing like this:
Anybody here tried something of this type?

That car one's too big. Yes it has a side stand. 250 is as small as I want to go (and actually smaller wouldn't solve the problem). Oh, and I'm a cheapskate so total cost must be < £50 (a lot less if possible).

Ah, but that might make a hole in the carpet.....

Careful with the wheel sizes, too small and you need a perfectly smooth hard floor but too big and you won't get the scooter on it. CJ's link looks good if your floor is suitable.

I have a similar issue but it is due to getting bikes in and out of my Garden. Lazy Susan with a piece of 5mm steel plate affixed to it with tek screws allows me to turn the bike 180. This is using it to turn my GS 1200. Sorry about the fat ugly bloke in the vid

Horse I just push thd back end down to get the front wheel up and spin it very little effort needed. Will post some pics up of the lazy Susan and plate.
