Getting Old Bar Grips Off?

It appears that the grips on the mighty Husky have been glued on. After 10 moments cursing and swearing, the buggers still won't come off.

Is there a secret way ?

Do I need to buy new tubes?

What's for tea?

These buggers have been put on with some good glue. No way to get air in.

What solvents do you have to hand, or can get? Any of those might be worth a try. Probably easier buying a new throttle tube.

Acetone would be one of the first I'd try, somewhere that sell fibreglass might have it.

Tried that. Glued all over.

If it were mine, I'd buy a new throttle tube (or try to find a 2nd hand one), but cut the left side off as best as possible with a sharp knife. If they're as badly glued as they look then getting the new grip on the throttle tube is going to be awkward unless you get all the glue off cleanly, but with the left one you can be a bit more forceful when you put the new grip on.

Heat gun and scraper.

Finally got them cleaned and new grips fitted.

Then my pal says they come as a set.
