ABC 500 - a minimalist design
Feast your eyes. This is the ABC 500 from 'A Bike Company'
"It shows how ‘no design can also be good design.’
"Challenging the very notion of automotive design, the ABC 500 actually champions the ‘lack of design’. Every part of the bike is exposed to the elements with an aesthetic verging on dirt-bike territory. Its lack of mass notwithstanding, the bike still manages to have immense character. It’s almost alien-like in how it looks defyingly-slim yet so well-poised… with perhaps its only solid mass being its fuel tank."
I actually rather like it, in a 'streamliner with the streamlining stripped off' kind of way. I imagine it would be torture to actually ride but hey ho, that seems to apply to so many bikes. I noticed someone mentioned the seat on the Husqvarna Swartpilen the other day - that torture plank as the first thing I spotted when the bike was released.

There's an immense amount of 'design' in that.
I kinda like the idea of a very stripped down "essence of bike" machine, but the bullshit is just that.

And yet, there's not a single original feature on it?
The carbon fibre wheel spokes offend my eyes too.

I like its purest minimalism, from the skinny wheels and seat, right down to its rideabliity.

It's very pretty and I'd like to own it. Plenty of people ride very stupid motorcycles just for the pleasure of a bimble - it doesn't have to be something that you can circumnavigate the world in/on like R2D2 McGregor and Googlie-Eyes Boorman. Motorcycles are supposed to promote hatred in others and where you have a reasonable chance of ripping your junk off in the drivechain. Because we're rebels.

I like the aesthetics,it's a design exercise so it can't really be judged in practical terms.

Blimey... 4 - 3 in favour (ish)! There's a thing.
