There's a former London m/c despatcher here that has one with a '75 Kaw Z1-B paint job on it, albeit the wrong colors, it's mostly silver. He's owned it for at least 25 years.

Look like standard early GS1000 carbs, early GS850s may have had the same carbs, they're relatively easy to get running on pod filters.

I hadn't spotted that... bit silly. And not great in sidewinds, I believe. The old Banana Comstars on Hondas were a bit of a mare when the wind blew.

Yes, they look like the Mikuni VM26s fitted to my 750, iirc the GS1000 used VM29s.
