Re: Matt Hancock's resigned
Matt Hancock has resigned as health secretary after he breached social distancing guidance by kissing a colleague.
No, he resigned because he got found out.

Re: Matt Hancock's resigned
Far more interesting is that it seems that an illicit hidden camera (perhaps supplied by Hikvision, wholly owned by the Chinese state) was concealed in a smoke detector inside the office. I'll bet that there are many more of these illicit cameras scattered through Whitehall offices.

I bet that 99% of CCTV cameras in the UK at the moment are Hikvision, I would ready anything into that.

It's not like you to be swept along with conspiracy stories and posting without supporting links etc.irie wrote: ↑Sat Jun 26, 2021 10:14 pm Far more interesting is that it seems that an illicit hidden camera (perhaps supplied by Hikvision, wholly owned by the Chinese state) was concealed in a smoke detector inside the office. This suggests a visible camera, installed years ago, in a corridor.

Does seem a bit odd that the CCTV should make its way to the papers though. I would guess disgruntled or otherwise just money seeking employee rather than Chinese state.

Re: Matt Hancock's resigned
One story (previous link) suggests pics taken of a cctv monitor by someone who then approached an anti-lockdown group for advice on how to proceed.

Re: Matt Hancock's resigned
Conspiracy theorists on twitter having a field day with this
He resigned so he can't be investigated for his failings during the pandemic
he resigned so they could hide the news that 600,000 covid test results going missing
He resigned so they could hide news about his Mistresses' brother getting PPE contracts
The whole thing was planned with his wife's knowledge
It's all part of the plan to make Gove PM
etc etc
Me personally, I think that whatever the truth, it does clearly demonstrate that politicians are untrustworthy people with a superiority complex and shouldn't have been 'in power' in the first place

Re: Matt Hancock's resigned
We've known that for many a long year. The problem is: how do you arrange things so that those who want to be in power never get to be in power? I.e. How do you arrange politics so as to keep out the politicians?

Hancock is a gullible idiot. The lady involved Gina Coladangelo, was, I'd suggest well aware of the potential for embarrassment for ol' Nick.

Another glorious first for the Torries. The first ever man to have an affair with a work colleague.

Apparently he left his wife the day before it became public.
