There's a very simple way of convincing the sceptics that Brexit was a good thing, just write it slightly ambiguously on the side of a bus and they'll believe it completely.

Plus, I don’t remember the 10 years of problems being mentioned on the side of the bus?
They weren't mentioned in the manifesto either. This was though: "We will negotiate a new settlement for Britain in the EU. And then we will ask the British people whether they want to stay in on this basis, or leave. We will honour the result of the referendum, whatever the outcome."

Funny how a suggestion becomes a promise and a promise becomes a suggestion. All is fair in politics, I suppose.

There's a lot of your generation, including my FiL, that feel the same. My kids think it's lunacy and are pissed off that their abilty to roam freely on what is the greatest continent on earth has been taken away from them.

You had just as much right to vote as they did though.

I don't have any kids but I'm sad for my niece and nephew and actually for all the kids that have lost that ability before they could vote :( :(

Give it a few years and, Covid permitting, they will be able to roam almost like before. The EU is pissed off with us at the moment, once common sense kicks in we will be able to go to Europe, and they will be able to come here. What will be different is that neither side will be able to export cheap labour or cheap goods to undercut the locals. There may be a bit more bureaucracy but c'est la vie.

It's a shame but the clever kids will do what they want anyway and the numbskulls will sit in their white ghetto feeling proud.

Much of the ETP will focus on removing market access barriers to ease the flow of goods, services, capital and people between the UK and India.

Apparently:

The UK in a Changing Europe promotes rigorous, high-quality and independent research into the complex and ever changing relationship between the UK and the European Union (EU).

It provides an authoritative, non-partisan and impartial reference point for those looking for information, insights and analysis about UK-EU relations that stands aside from the politics surrounding the debate. The Initiative’s work is tailored to be easily accessible to policy makers, businesses, journalists, civil society organisations, educational institutions and the general public who are interested in the UK’s relationship with the EU.
