Today is wash biking gear day. Bright and sunny, so I can get it nice and dry as well! Will spray with waterproofing agent afterwards as I have to use bike on Friday when it is raining for appointments in London which will take a lot longer on the public transport and cost a lot more. Bike is quicker, cheaper and a lot more fun! Working on sermon for Sunday and also getting ready for a full immersion adult baptism which I will do later in August.

I guess a full grown adult doesn't fit in a font. Where do you do them?

How dare you ask that question of a man of the cloth. :o

I once saw c. 100 people being 'done', as you so eloquently put it, on Margate beach. It was a typical British day, i.e. bloody cold and windy, so I admired the vicar's* stamina to be waist deep in English Channel for that long. It looked like a very African congregation and to be honest, it look like everyone was having a right good time, with music and all sorts going on.

We have a portable baptism pool. Fill it with warmed up water too!

Doesn't it need to be holy water? It must have taken a lot of devotion to bless the whole sea.

God works in mysterious ways and is not phased by volume of water, salinity, tidal flows or kids urinating just a few feet away, you heathen.

The action of baptism is the recognition that God is present in our lives and our public affirmation of His redemption. Blessing the water is the remembrance of what God has done for us, parting the Red Sea, the Jordan, the baptism of Christ and the affirmation of faith.

Not an Argos pool, a much posher one than that! Even has a rubber bottom and steel brackets. It is very robust and built for long term use.

Out on the bike today, currently sat in the sun drinking coffee on the edge of Dartmoor. Nice weather but very few bikes about.

I'm up at sparrow fart to drive roomie to LAX. She's flying down to Tucson to see her new granddaughter for a couple of weeks. I get to dog sit while she's gone.
LAX is an hour away, her flight is at 12.15, she wants to be there two hours early...

Went to physio this afternoon - the one that's been away for two months, but also has been the constant physio for almost 3 years

He's made my day! We tried some arm movements that I've been trying to improve but I can't see improvement - he can!! He reckons the rotation is way better and I should be pleased! So I am :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:
