Rite Bike.
It's a massive shop, but I think they rely on selling cheap and selling fast.

Re: What bike?
Have a friend phone up and ask if they have any similar bikes for sale, and then have them wander over to look at it.

Re: What bike?
I've decided there's no point calling them today. Even if it's ready I can't collect before the weekend.
I'll call them on Friday, ask if it's ready for Saturday/Sunday collection. If not then I can kick off and say it's been a week since I was told it was next bike on the ramp, etc... demand my deposit back and go buy a Nintendo Switch and give up biking forever.

If it's not ready you can't collect it at all... at least this way you can start finding it's replacement.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 11:00 am I've decided there's no point calling them today. Even if it's ready I can't collect before the weekend.

Re: What bike?
But that's a girl's bike, you want a real man's bike, like an FZR400RR

It sounds to me like they have a queue of punters on their case about stuff and whoever causes the most fuss gets sorted first. You may have come across as a nice guy (easy touch) so it's the crying baby gets the tit.
Whichever way around it is,it's a pretty poor show from any angle.

Re: What bike?
TBH just sounds like normal service for webuyanybike and any number of subsidiaries they use to sell them, I’m amazed you’ve waited so long and not pulled out

Re: What bike?
It's being put back together today/tomorrow, if there's time it'll get MOT'ed and be ready for Sunday... but more likely early next week... says the workshop manager who I spoke to directly instead of the sales monkey.
It's had all new caliper and clutch seals along with all the rubber parts in the fuel system changed... good job it's not watercooled.
I bet the fuckers forget to put new tyres on it.

Re: What bike?
I know, I know.
I was 100% adamant I was going to ring and tell them I wanted my deposit back, but I just rolled over
I'd found a ZRX1100 I wanted to go look at, so at least it's saved me from Kawasaki ownership.

Re: What bike?
They MOT them when they sell them, its normal practise.
I suspect this bike has been in a collection and unused for at least five years, why would it have a current MOT?
