Wheels.
I think I'd like some supermoto wheels for the DT200R. It seems to me that those fitted to the SDR200 would be suitable, the front is MT2.15 17" and the rear is MT2.5 17".
The only minor problem is I don't think they are particularly pretty, I much prefer the ones from the NSR125.
So suggest me some wheels. I don't want spoked, but other than that anything goes. Thinking more, I prefer an odd number of spokes, excepting 6 spoke wheels. And four is just plain wrong.
Five spoke Suzukis look nice to my eye, I like that they cross at the ends.
Obviously it makes massive sense to be planning stuff for a bike that isn't even registered yet and whilst I've part stripped the other bike too.

Re: Wheels.
It's almost always cheaper to get used parts off a 125 than anything else. Particularly it's going to be cheaper than wheels off an SDR200, which is far from a common bike.
Do you specifically want wheels as narrow as that / need them for fitment?
They're 17x3" and 17x4", but I think Aprilia RS125 wheels should be on your radar. If they go into the bike, they'll give you the option of using "normal" 110mm and 150mm supermoto tyres.
Older with 5 spokes (often available very cheap):

Newer with all the spokes (too modern?):

Re: Wheels.
This is mostly about the look of the wheels, I'll think about sizing after that. I mentioned the SDR not specifically for the wheels, more that it has the same engine so Yamaha engineers will have thought about wheel dimensions.
Any info will be added into the soup that passes for thought processes in my brain.

Re: Wheels.
Should still be able to pick up TZR wheels cheap enough and the breakers are full of CBR125s

Re: Wheels.
DT200 is basically a DT125R with a bigger engine, buy some DT125R hubs and get 17" rims laced to them.

What do you think of the RS125 wheels?cheb wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 11:22 am This is mostly about the look of the wheels, I'll think about sizing after that. For me the 5 spokers are kinda like the auld Honda wheels you like, the multi-spokers something of a more modern take on the Suzuki wheels you've pictured.

Of the two the five spokes win. And they seem easily got.A_morti wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 2:54 pmWhat do you think of the RS125 wheels?cheb wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 11:22 am This is mostly about the look of the wheels, I'll think about sizing after that.
