Commute to work, hoping I can dodge the thunder storms on the way home tonight!

His pictures are taken in Lowestoft, his map shows LowestoftSupermofo wrote: ↑Tue Jun 15, 2021 7:49 amIs that not Lowestoft? For some reason it came into my mind that although I've down the furthest compass points in GB I hadn't done the closest. I decided Ness Point in Folkestone was gonna get ticked off. The roads were light on traffic due to the England football match and the weather was perfect

Folkestone is down near Dover - when my wife first came to Felixstowe for a job interview she thought she was going to Folkestone, somehow she got here and got the job.

Bugger that. That's shorts and flip flops weather. I've often thought I'd find Spain the same as the UK in that I'd only ride 6 months of the year as it was too hot rather than too cold. Fussy nuts me

Saturdays 170 miles around the Peak. With the forecast not looking great it was a run out on the 'moto taking in a few of the better known roads and some that aren't to link them together.

Nice 180 mile loop . From Shrewsbury straight to Barmouth, Harlech, Ffestiniog, Bala, Llangynog, A5 home. Weather was dry with sun at coast. Grabbed some horrible sausage and chips then went down the quiet end to feed. Favourite chippy was shut.
A bit of neighbourhood rivalry happening i think with the flags. Great ride and great therapy. Back home for the Wales match.

Last weekend, Devil's Staircase...
The missus woke me up on Saturday morning to tell me she was off out on a cycling leadership course all day (having neglected to tell me about it), so I inadvertently found myself with about 6hrs or so to myself...I didn't need much more of an invite than that!
Worcester to Leominster on the A44, then on to Builth Wells, Beulah, Tregaron (via Devils Staircase), Pontarfynach, Rhayader (via Elan Valley), Penybont, then up to Presteigne, Shobdon, Tenbury Wells, then back to Worcester via Clifton & Martley... 190 miles all in, which as it happens, is almost precisely a tank of fuel on a KTM SuperDuke 1290 GT!
