It's a bit like saying that Pierce Brosnan is a dead ringer for Sean Connery as James Bond.

Well I quite like the clean and simple lines of it. I'd like a slightly different exhaust, maybe just an end can to give it some shape?

I like it, I'd put a number plate on that and ride it around quite pleased with myself.

I'm not a hipster, I think I'm too old, but I'm all about style over substance these days, I can't ride to any sort of limits and I'm too old and boring to do any sort of dangerous stuff like racing motocross or even putting much effort in at trackdays, so a bit of style like that would suit me ok.

I'd stop short of turn-ups on my jeans though, that's poofery.

You're the most hipster person I know - though there's not much competition for that role.

As for the bike - it's a bit meh

Quite probably, but by accident, I had motorbikes, tattoos and good taste before it was trendy.

It's ok. I'm a bit meh about the whole bud ekins thing - he was a hero of his time but you have to be a million years old or have massively rose tinted specs to give a toss about it now.

I'd far rather see younger, more reliable, less fashionable bikes in a similar genre.

A desert sled is all about hooning around the Californian desert, not sneaking onto the edge of the beach at Hunstanton before being told to fuck off by the bloke in the Coastguard van.
Same with flat trackers, hipsters are obsessed with American cool, they should be made to endure a wonky 1980s Harley for a while.

I'll pay attention to hipsters when they do something relevant to the UK, motocrossers, race bikes and speedway. Try posing around Shoreditch on a replica of Ivan Mauger's speedway bike :P
Ivan Maugers as irrelevant today as the first part of your rant, be better with a Tai Woffinden rep 🤣🏆

It’s a Unit Triumph with trials tyres on.

Big deal.

It's quite pretty for a geriatric bike and at least its got an airfilter and mudguards but it's not ugly enough nor green enough to be a proper desert sled as far as I'm concerned.
