I quite like that but I can't help thinking there will be a light bulb moment at some point with electric bikes. 'Now we don't need that central mass of an engine here's a much better way to distribute the weight.'

Scooter style, low-slung weight.

Also means the 'feet first' riding position is more easily achievable.

Think mass centralization has been the goal with conventional bikes for some time hasnt it?
Just the chubby draggy riders that are the main problem.

Having the weight too low affects traction and braking though so its a balance.

Having electric hub motors offers the option of regenerative ('engine') braking from both wheels instead of just the rear and, similarly, drive from both wheels.

IIRC low CoM (especially if with longer wheelbase) will reduce the likelihood of stoppies and improve rear grip for braking.
