Muc off do a fluoro green mtb degreaser that's very good.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

You've just reminded me I've got some of that too.MingtheMerciless wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 9:42 pm Muc off do a fluoro green mtb degreaser that's very good.
One word of warning... I didn't rinse one cleaner (can't remember which it was - I think it was one I was given as a sampler somewhere) off the wheels properly... it rotted both the tyre valves! The front tyre lost pressure at the end of a training session and on attempting to put some air in it, "it came off in my hand, guv'nor".

Be careful with MEK, it does not play well with natural rubbers or lots of other elastomers, in fact the only really compatible elastomers for MEK are some quite exotic materials like Kalrez that you very unlikely to see on a motorcycle.
It will cause non compatible seals, ‘O”-rings to swell and fail, and definitely keep it away from tyres.
Compatibility matrix can be found at:
