His financial acumen is beyond reproach; he got a 60% discount on Boris' bike.Saga Lout wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 8:55 pmHe's supposed to be the leader of the free world and he's got dementia and nobody seems to care.Rockburner wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 4:36 pm Fuck me, let's hope none of us ever mispeak, Saga Lout will have us up against the wall in a second.

Jeez, Donald couldn't even close a fucking brolly and and shambled up the steps to Airforce 1 trailing bogroll like a demented Andrex Puppy. It would be faster to say the things he did right than to go through his gaffs. He made Reagan look like the consummate statesman.

You don't remember me asking how come in a nation of 330 million people, the two best candidates for the top job were Donald and Hillary?Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 9:01 pmI don't remember you ever making similar posts about the significantly more gaffe prone Trump. Well, it was a long time ago, I suppose. Maybe your memory is going.
Anyway, why has this degenerated into a bout of whataboutism?

Because you said....
My supposition is that you only dislike Biden because he's not Trump. I don't think you care if he's demented either, you're just looking for a reason to criticise him. I don't recall you being particularly critical of Trump, quite the opposite in many instances, so I can only assume you have no problem with demented old men but rather a problem with Biden.
I could be senile though

Yes, Reagan was a bit confused towards the end, but he had all his marbles when he got the job.
Sorry, a slip of the tongue does not dementia equal.

Of course no British politician would ever become confused over US military TLAs.

If you think that was the first time you haven't been paying attention. His tongue "slips" just about every time he opens his mouth.

Blame the voters, if you think Biden shouldn’t be president.

Thank fuck the DM decided they needed to point out the "outdoor swimming pool". I had no idea what that huge blue puddle looking thing was...
Are the UK media reporting on Bidens daily blunders, or just this one?
Against my better judgment I read the DM article.. which actually appears to mostly be a advert for the castle/hotel

On US media pages on FB all you have to post is "Trump" without saying anything else at all & the entire thread descends into an anti-Trump rant by the TDS crowd. It's hilarious.

I transposed a couple of numbers yesterday while I was writing them down. Better get myself off to the dementia clinic.

Re: President Kamala Harris before the end of the year?
I agree with most of that but I don't think the 'hate' surrounding trump was driven by jealousy. That's too easy, in the same way that it's too easy for folk to say "you hate Diane Abbott because you're a big rassist". It's primarily driven by incompetence in the position, nobody wants someone in a position of power where it's so obvious you yourself could do it way better.Potter wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 9:03 am When I do lectures or interviews off the cuff I rarely make mistakes, but if I do filmed things where I read from a prompter or from a memorised lecture/speech I make lots of mistakes. It's a proper skill that takes a lot of practise, blockbuster movie stars make it look easy but they're literally one in a million who can perform at that level in front of a camera. Reading off a prompter is hard if you want to make it look like you aren't doing that.
I can live with Biden making a few gaffs and I really don't think he's that bad, you'd have to work hard to hate him. Trump was a different kettle of fish because it was what he represented (power and money) that bought out the butthurt, crying and resent, but Biden seems to fly in between all that - he's a rich white powerful man, but he doesn't flaunt it like Trump and he comes from quite a different place.
Trump was antagonistic, Biden is a better politician.
Personally I'd rather slit my throat than swap places with any of them. Power and money looks like it sucks.

Teleprompters were invented about 70 years ago.Potter wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 9:03 am When I do lectures or interviews off the cuff I rarely make mistakes, but if I do filmed things where I read from a prompter or from a memorised lecture/speech I make lots of mistakes. Biden has been in Congress since Pontius was a (RFA* [sic]) pilot, he's had plenty of time to learn.

Or maybe Biden's no good at teleprompters 'cause he historically wrote and delivered his speeches himself...now there's a thought.

And now he's incapable of doing that so he has to rely on script writers.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 11:17 am Or maybe Biden's no good at teleprompters 'cause he historically wrote and delivered his speeches himself...

Re: President Kamala Harris before the end of the year?
I wonder how many people here could read from a teleprompter.
I couldn't. I have to really think to read children's stories to baby D, even though I love reading in general. I think its cause I read much faster than I can talk, so I have to make a conscious effort to slow down.
Am I senile and incapable?
