If you need to have a PSA (prostate specific antigen) blood test, don't cycle for a week or so beforehand. Cycling stimulates the production of PSA. I had to get the test done again because they didn't tell me.

Another Tamsulosin user here, I also take pumpkin oil supplements as that seems to help, especially with night time. Might be worth trying the Prostagenix supplement as that gets a good write up (I use it occasionally but it messes with my FODMAP bowel if I take it for too long).

Mustn't grumble but FFS what a load of old knackers we all are in here. ;)

I properly fucked up my elbow somehow getting out of the car today.

It felt like an elastic band twanging and pinging inside, right by my funny bone. It smarted a bit at the time, but I got in the front door and did and exploratory wiggle of my fingers and they all still worked. Over the next 10s or so the pain just built up massively until I thought I was gonna be sick....wifey found me on my hands and knees and just about stopped me falling flat on my face when I passed out.

5 mins later - after she'd alraedy insisted we go to the Dr - it was basically OK. It still tingles a bit now, but I can use all my fingers and move my arm just fine. I'll be off the heavy lifting for a while though.

It felt like maybe the tendon that goes around the elbow came out of it's groove and snapped back in again. I dunno. Fucking hurt though!

i'm 36, so it was probably a blood clot from the Pfizer vaccine I had a couple of weeks ago :D

I'm getting old. My ol' prostate and bladder have, for a couple of years, been troublesome in that pissing has become a long, drawn out process. As somebody once put it, 'It's like pissing in Morse code': dot, dot, dot...dash...dash...dot. You get the picture.

Yesterday me and my desk had arranged to all be in the office for a catch up and a few drinks after work. During the course of the day my need for a piss became constant, but the ability was just not there. Literally painful dribbles. Not wanting to bale, I went to the pub and sank a few pints. It became a source of much mirth my frequent trips to the gent's, though I wasn't laughing. By the time I got home around 10-ish I was in pain. By 2am I was whimpering in the shower, trying to induce the piss out by fair means or foul. Eventually managed to have a half-piss sufficient for me to take a tamsulosin and get some sleep. Seems normal (by my standards!) now, though still painful when I finish pissing.

By coincidence I mentioned all this to the G.P. at my recent 'wellness' check through work and I have a referral letter stuck on the pin board. Time to make the call I think.

Age is a bastard :angry-cussingblack:

Be a bit careful, Grems - there are problems other than prostate which can cause peeing problems, and some of them aren't very good and need to be attended to quickly, before they become difficult to treat. I have 2 mates in this situation at present; both thought it was "just old(er) mens' prostates" and it wasn't.

Ta. Made an appointment with the urologist for later this month. All my previous PSA tests have been fine, as was the 'digital examination'* a few weeks back, albeit he did say it was aging quicker than the rest of my body, which I think is a perfect example of the expression, 'Damning with faint praise'. :)

*I say fine, in as much as a bloke with hands like a docker is shoving a finger up your jacksie and prodding a very sensitive part of your innards without even having the good grace to nudge your piles out of the way. I felt like Jodie Foster in 'The Accused'.

I'm getting on, 51. I don't go (phone the) to the doctors very often, but when I do I have to write a list so that I don't forget anything

If one of them is 'get prostate examined' I'd be very worried. :o

Dragging the thread back to much more insignificant things.......

I hate the way my swimming trunks 'shrink wrap' my knob when I get out the pool. I mean, I know no-one's looking, I know no-one cares but it still feels like I'm making a display. So I pull my shorts out a bit to get some air in.... then it looks like I farted

Conversely, give the ol' fella a cheeky rub just before emerging and the resulting semi-on will impress all who see it. 8-)

Fucking neighbours never ending building project builders at it again today, it’s not that they’re there everyday, if they were they’d have finished 6 months ago. They’ve left a pile of materials on the verge outside for nearly a year (finally cleared today) and it was intermittent Kango day today whilst I’m trying to sleep.

Fucking neighbour weeding the bluebells on the dividing boundary between our properties and then trying to bullshit that they’ll grow back , FFS she left the other plants. Agent Orange will be deployed tmrw, scorched Earth!🤬🤬

Just had “book your second jab” reminder so went online to do it and they only offer one day and a narrow range of times, it happens that I’m working that day and over the time range they offer appointments. I cannot just randomly take days off at short notice.

God help anyone mess me about at work tonight.

Daughter still lives at home. 25 and lives rent free as she’s saving up for a house deposit.

Goes into the fridge to see what I can make for tea. Mrs W has been shopping today so have a good choice. Pick out a pack of two lovely rib eye steaks that I shall knock up with some salad.

No, we’re not having them, says Mrs W, they’re for Alex, we’re having the beef burgers. :?

Fat folk. Same all over the world.

Folk over here are very slow at packing and moving on at the tills in supermarkets. We get used to it.
Bet here in the mainland it's worse.
Was behind a 50s fat fucker who wasn't packing after paying. He heard my accent when I talked to the girl serving.
After 30 seconds he was still on his phone.
So I gestured him to hurry up.
He said summat like them wankers from England are so rude.
I replied that this wanker lives in Lanzarote where fat men are not so rude.
He packed a bit quicker.

Came out and saw he's parked on a zebra.

I shouted tu madre se folló a un cerdo.
