Technology in action that doesn’t deliver the expected result...

Need a bank statement showing two transactions 14 days apart, check online banking and the last statement covers the required person, check the transaction listing and boom, both transactions are there! Winner winner, chicken dinner until I click generate PDF.

The resulting pdf statement shows transaction A but transaction B must have fallen into the gap between pages... FFS shatwest, sort your farking pdf settings to put page breaks in properly. I now need to wait for the bank to manually add a statement to the system which I can download with the hope neither transaction falls off the page again.

Sadly it needs to be an official bank statement with all the gubbins rather than a PDF’d screen grab. It’ll sort itself no doubt.

I don't about availability in France, but Axminster and others do them in the UK https://www.axminstertools.com/hand-too ... anese-saws
The good old Coping saw is a cut on pull.

As are pruning saws, they might be a bit coarse for a finishing cut.

You’ll be pleased to know that I have my bank statement

Today’s irksome issue, new mattock and pick axe heads don’t fit the new handle…

All sourced from wickes, both heads have same sized holes, handle has a plastic covering on head end that should fit the hole(s) but is the wrong shape / too big / too hard to grip the heads and would be too small if I removed the plastic…

A wasted trip now needed to return the fuckers and will need to order elsewhere and most likely wait for delivery.

Ideas welcome!

Oh and Facebook idiots, I’m looking for recommendations for a builder (new garage) and asked in the local area group, mate’s wife has responded with a name of someone who is fantastic, wouldn’t trust anyone else, did work for her sister but doesn’t have name of company, isn’t friends on Facebook and doesn’t have any contact details.

I live in a city, close to two other cities, with millions of residents…

Ironically a piss-related piss boiler....

I'm getting old. My ol' prostate and bladder have, for a couple of years, been troublesome in that pissing has become a long, drawn out process. As somebody once put it, 'It's like pissing in Morse code': dot, dot, dot...dash...dash...dot. You get the picture.

Yesterday me and my desk had arranged to all be in the office for a catch up and a few drinks after work. During the course of the day my need for a piss became constant, but the ability was just not there. Literally painful dribbles. Not wanting to bale, I went to the pub and sank a few pints. It became a source of much mirth my frequent trips to the gent's, though I wasn't laughing. By the time I got home around 10-ish I was in pain. By 2am I was whimpering in the shower, trying to induce the piss out by fair means or foul. Eventually managed to have a half-piss sufficient for me to take a tamsulosin and get some sleep. Seems normal (by my standards!) now, though still painful when I finish pissing.

By coincidence I mentioned all this to the G.P. at my recent 'wellness' check through work and I have a referral letter stuck on the pin board. Time to make the call I think.

Welcome to the club.

My BPH was diagnosed about 18 years ago and my prostate is harder than Chuck Norris. I take an Avodart in the morning and a Flomax (tamsulosin) in the evening and I keep saying I'm going to go and see the specialist in Marmaris hospital and discuss other options but never seem to get round to it. I had a couple of PSA tests last year and they were normal levels so I'm pretty sure it's still benign but it can certainly be a nuisance.

Beer, tea and coffee are all diuretics so I'm tending to have a couple of rakıs nowadays instead of beer because as you say, the frequent trips to the loo are noticeable and funny for some people. Getting caught short is the worst thing for me so I tend to keep myself a bit dehydrated if I'm going into town for example. I also know where all the toilets are and I never miss the opportunity to use one if it's close.

I don't suffer from the painful morse code bit though but I do have poor flow and as I said, some urgency now and again. Tamsulosin should be a regular event btw, not when you think it might help. It's an alpha blocker which helps to make the smooth muscle of the bladder and prostate work better - if smooth muscle is required to work harder it pretty much doesn't want to work at all. You've probably had that explained to you already though. Keep taking the tablets. :D

Sounds like it's the same challenge for you to get that appointment as for me to find a gyne (that also specialises in Menopause) that has an appointment free before September!!!

I managed but only because everything the receptionist asked me I replied with either no, the GP hasn't offered that or 'the local hospital has a butcher for a gyne and I won't go there again'

Weirdly, I got one for 30th June too!! LOL :banana-dance:

Pinched nerve in neck, two weeks in. Agony 24/7. Meds don't work. Physio works a bit, but not quick enough for me. Miserable.

Mustn't grumble but FFS what a load of old knackers we all are in here. ;)

At least I can piss though.

I had a similar pinched nerve, 5 days in I slipped and fell and the jolt sorted it. Recommended
