Been here at my step mothers since 8 this morning whilst the plumber does some stuff. I’m bored out of my nut and keep falling asleep because of it!

Just had the aircon in the car regassed!

Thank god. It's a Black car and the work carpark is bathed in sun all day (when it's sunny).

Drained down central heating system, then drained down as much of hot water cylinder as I could, then siphoned 99% of the water out using garden hose and two big buckets. Cut the fugly thing loose from its moorings, dragged it downstairs and then emptied the remaining rank piss over the garden. Going to let the boards where it's been standing dry out overnight (it's been leaking for a while) before starting to fit the new replacement.

I'm not in the best of moods after all that...

Nice day out. Cleared out the big shed at the Church with the vicar, sorted out what could be recycled, free cycled and binned and helped assemble the storage rack and then fit two boards on the ceiling beams to store the longer items of wood out of the way. Then back into the Church to fit a new gooseneck microphone on the lectern as the old one was too large, hindering lipreading and it was old tech. New mike is much clearer, slimline and has a far better acoustic and range. Quite pleased with myself!

Back home, son writing his final exam and he aced it, so is very happy now. Collected wife from school, then had a short nap. Dinner was left-over vegetables with some bulgur wheat and feta cheese and a glass of Tokaji Furmint dry white wine. Lovely! Just setting up to do the 9pm Compline service and then I'll go back to sleep.

I was giving Gremlin's rather painful post a thumbs up, missed and got yours. So have a free one on me.

Yesterday was a mad day.

The most intense French lesson so far - 2 hours of grammar, those little words that make sentences correct but are REALLY difficult to work out when to use and which to use!!

Then physio, then meet a friend for coffee, then collect kitten!!

Today I've mostly chilled and talked to the kitten. Off to physio now then French homework to do after!!

Absolutely bugger all, haven't even put shoes or socks on today.. which lead to some minor discomfort walking on the patio earlier, could have cooked eggs on it.
Now awaiting the *bing!* that tells me my pie is cooked (in about 54 minutes)

Rode around on the bike, went down into Kent to meet up with my Bishop. He is recommending that I am ordained as a priest, so that is very good news. Enjoyed the ride home, managed to behave myself! Pimms and lemonade with the wife this afternoon. Taking it quietly tomorrow and trying to finish off my assignment.

Finally finished fitting the bloody thing. And had a well-deserved shower. I'm sure everyone in my immediate vicinity is quite pleased about that.

Decided that now I'm double jabbed, I'll risk going for an X-ray and try and put the brakes on my road to Crippledom. Got one booked for my hip, knee and ankle on the 8th July!

Hopefully me soon... :banana-dance:

Embraced my ailments (a case of having to, really!)

As well as my rock hard prostate, weakened bladder, multitude of aching joints, failing eye-sight, failing memory, piles and rogue hairs appearing from every part of my body, I have a corker of a cold sore at the moment. Back in my twenties I'd have been mortified by my crusty lip. In my fifties, I really don't give the proverbial airborne copulation. I have named him Colin and have been introducing him to people, such as my yoga instructor, who said he'll get the first lesson free, but if he comes next week he's gotta pay.

Got chatting to someone I have only know on FB - she offered to lend me a book about kittens - I am having a very steep learning curve with the new arrival!! She also rides - an MT07 (wanted an MT09 cos it's what she took her test on, but the 07 was all that was available when they went looking!!) So, looks like I have a new riding buddy. She wants to get confidence and so do I!! :D :D

Kitten crapped where she shouldn't have because I didn't clean out the litter tray fast enough  That'll teach me

She also didn't stay asleep for the lesson!!  But hey - I learnt some new words!!!
