My nearest shop and petrol station was the Londis at Fort Augusts 18 miles away. The quickest way was to turn left out of the estate and go through Invermoriston on the A887. But I always turned right and went the other slightly longer way on the A87 past Loch Garry, principally because of that view. And those bends as you go down the hill towards Invergarry..
I'm told there are monster pike in Loch Garry.
Bu@@er ive never been up that road. Will have a looky next time im out that way with the bike

If you mean the A887 from the junction with the A87 back to Invermoriston, it isn't that interesting. Quite straight and mostly through spruce plantation. The road through the Ceannacroc estate is just a private track that leads to the estate houses and a locked gate before disappearing into the fastnesses of Glen Moriston. But the position of the house as a touring base was ideal because it puts you right at the start of the magical section of the A 87 from Loch Cluanie to the Kyle of Lochalshe and I was a day's ride from everywhere in the highlands from the Trossachs to Deeside and John O' Groats and the NC500. All with a dram and the same bed to look forward to each night. I'll definitely be doing another fortnight like that in Scotland again some time. I do want to see more of the south, the borders and Galloway forest park and the southerly western isles etc. Soon I hope.

The A887 i use all the time, as most of my work is on the Isle of Skye, It was The road through the Ceannacroc estate That i,ve never been on, but if its just a dead end i will leave it at that...

Bit of faffing with the mighty Z1300 today got a coil thats going off when it warms up great when clap cold all six present and correct but when it warms up goes onto 4 CDI perhaps? CArbs all clean and balanced like six Su's

The lift if anyone's paying attention is one of those scissor jack car lifts with a big marine ply cover reinforced underneath ..which with the Z on it is really required

Sounds typical of a faulty ignition coil. Works fine cold but as the windings expand as the heat builds you eventually get a break in the circuit and intermittent fault. Could also be a condensor. They overheat as well if they're mounted on the end of the crankshaft.

Very common in old air-cooled Jap fours if they were allowed to overheat. Had that with an old CB750 KZ I had years ago after getting stuck behind traffic on steep hills in Dartmoor on a hot day. Turned out to be a coil and a condensor. Could be the same for your Z.

Swap the coils over, if the cylinders affected change it's a faulty coil

Little bogger found a baby’s dummy on our walk yesterday. Wouldn’t relinquish it for almost whole of the walk until he mislaid it in the wheat field
