Fair enough... but deffo seems harsh... even more so as on the 790 it was all free.

With the 890 it was defo more shady as you say cos it was free on the lower spec model. But I don't think KTM have much shame about it

If you went to buy a BMW and they said "it's £1000 for Traction control/Anti-skid" you'd say no

Maybe. But that's exactly what they do, along with everyone else. Like I say, it's often better disguised by car companies because they tend to have multiple models - an 'S' model might have heated seats, DAB radio, voice control and an extra 50bhp for £3k extra, where the cost to them is an 'S' badge on the bootlid. It's fairly normal for hardware like heated seat elements to exist in all models as it's easier/cheaper than configuring twice. And you're likely to have the icon for voice control on the stalk whether it's enabled or not.
