The investigation blamed the Hotel for the accident as they'd left their landing light on!

There’s a quote to go with it:

“The aircraft, registered G-AAYL, a De Havilland DH 60G Gipsy Moth seen here in 1931 on Jersey with a wing folded up having been successfully pushed up from the beach to be refuelled at the local garage.”

Our side certainly didn’t have jerrycans in 1931!

Surprising how many people do not recognise why they are called " jerry cans".

Thanks to you I've just spent 2 minutes reading about the history of the jerrycan on wikipedia.

A few years ago I woke up to a bang and saw exactly that outside our old villa, the car was in exactly the same position, the bloke driving it was so drunk he fell out of the car. He asked me if I could give him a tow to get his car down from the tree so he could continue on his journey

I went back to bed and left security to deal with it.

I heard a car outside and went out to greet them your honour. It was then I realised it was my car being stolen so I chased after it. Shortly after there was a crunch and a bang. I saw my car crashed into the tree and a big boy running away. Hic.
