PCSO Julia James murder; Where's the outrage?

Post by Taipan »

I just saw the thing below on FB and thought, actually that raises a good point, where is the outrage? Is it correct about the anti Police narrative?

Lockdown has finished, people aren't looking for any excuse to gather in the park anymore. It does stink of hypocrisy.

The wimmin who took to the street that time were bundled off by heavy handed coppers so no surprise if they're a bit cautious. And it was a copper that did the (?rapey) murdering that time.

Not much outcry over this either:
An "angry" police officer caused the death of ex-Aston Villa footballer Dalian Atkinson when he Tasered him for six times longer than the standard practice before kicking him at least twice in the head, a court heard.
Pc Benjamin Monk is standing trial for murder after discharging his Taser for 33 seconds and his West Mercia Police colleague Pc Mary Bettley-Smith is accused of assault for the use of her baton on Atkinson after he had been stunned to the ground.
The pair were in a relationship at the time, it was revealed in court yesterday.

She wasn't killed in the line of duty, I think that tends to make a difference. The family also requested no gatherings so police resources wouldn't be wasted.

What am I supposed to be outraged about?
The poor woman has been murdered, no one knows why or who did it.

You are supposed to be outraged like you were for Sarah Everard, or at least the people kicking up a stink last time should be but for some reason they don't seem to care about this very similar case.
None of these matter as they aren't London things and footballers are too busy showing Twitter what for. Protesters seem to be very selective about what matters, almost as if it was fake outrage the first time round.

Personally I think that the demographic that's supposed to be outraged about murdered coppers (right-wingers and gammons?) should be ashamed of themselves. Too long have football supporters and anti-racism campaigners been setting the bar for visible outrage.

People generally need a target for outrage, no suspects yet so not much to target is there?

There, that wasn't too hard to work out was it?

Possibly when people know more you'll be able to see something.
So far a poor woman has been killed, not much to go on really.

From my limited understanding, it was understood relatively quickly who allegedly murdered Sarah Everard, furthermore it was a serving officer who had recently been accused of other complaints that seemingly weren't swiftly followed up, plus he remained on duty. The protests occurred after this was known.

So I don't think there is a huge amount of equivalence and trying to get outraged at the lack of outrage is unhelpful.

None of the above is to come down on one side or the other about the protests.

BBC News - Dalian Atkinson: Police officers 'colluded' after ex-footballer's death

There's a bit in this article that I'm outraged about. Can anyone spot it ?

The police have issued a photo of a man they'd like to talk about in relation to this. He has the chocolate face. The right wingers and gammons are going to be incandescent with rage. The We are the 17.4 million Facebook page will fill with ill conceived anti-BLM memes.

I suspect the liberal leftys would like some one to be "incandescent with rage", I suspect most people won't care about the colour of the suspects skin, it seems to be only something leftys worry about.

You can not see past the colour of people's skin. You're a racist, and not even a closet racist at that. Nasty piece of work.
