Joining weld joint pipes without welding

I have some proprietary pipe connectors that are 32mm outside diameter and I need to connect them to some lengths of 32mm waste pipe. They are a pretty tight fit and the connectors have an o ring on them but it isn't enough to stop water seeping out, I tried using hot glue but it won't stick to the connectors and I suspect the welding solvent won't work either (I'd rather not anyway).
Any ideas what I can use to seal up the joint? It doesn't need to hold the joint together, just stop low pressure water escaping.

It's for the solar panels for my paddling pool, the flexible hoses it came with are rubbish and disintegrate after 2 years.

Put some heat shrink over the joint?

I had a leaking screw olive joint thingy a few weeks ago, leaking about 2 Ltrs a day, A workmate suggested this stuff, a couple of turns of a spanner later and the leak was fixed

Try these, will work on pipes of various 32mm sizes, not all 32mm pipe is 32mm, yeh I know its stupid

Some good ideas thanks, I'll start with silicone because it's cheap and I have some and if that doesn't work I'll throw in the Fernox as well.

If no one can see it, wrap it in self amalgamating tape?

I've not seen that before but it looks ace for other plumbing bodges so even if silicone works (I'm waiting for it to cure at 2mm per day) I'll be sticking that in my plumbing box.

Unfortunately silicone didn't want to stick to the fittings even after smearing it up the sides and waiting 3 days. In better news I found the local aquatics shop sell 1.25" pond hose which fits perfectly without any extra help and is several times thicker than the original, maybe my mistake in the first place was assuming 1.25" and 32mm are the same.
I hate waste but as much as I'd like to make these pipes work the pond hoses will work out about £4.50 each and be flexible so I'd be daft to throw much more money at possibly fixing the pipe problem.

The best stuff I've found to work as both sealant and adhesive is stuff called CT-1. It will stick anything to anything (probably). It's not silicone, but some kind of hybrid polymer. I've not found anything it can't do, from permanently sealing pipework to sticking skirting board and architrave on walls. It's pricey compared to the competition, but my God it works.
