The best bike you ever owned

My best was the 2013 GSX1000 (L3). I had 6 previously and they all improved over the previous one.
But the L3 just got everything right. Not quite boring, just so bloody capable. Almost perfect.

This one is too track focused. I'll keep it for this summer, but then it may go. The missus said no as she loves it

I'd get another L3 tmrw if I could buy a new one.

I only paid £8,500 new for mine..

My old Z1000ST
Ended up with 1000rx front end, Harris offset yokes, raask resets, piper 4-1, k&he's, dyna sparks, r&r shocks, GPz full fairing.
Fuck it was an evil beast of a bike, 550lbs tankslapping its merry way down the road, but I loved it until some Dutch bastard had it away!

I've had two, they're not the fastest or best handling but they're well made, comfortable, reasonably economical and handle well enough. Take it on a trackday one weekend, ride it to Prague the next. Probably wise to pick something else if you want to do an enduro though

My 1986 GSX-R750H. I did just under 160,000 miles on it before it was taken out by a U-turning transit pick up with 180,000 on the clock. By then it was suffering from electrical issues (loom connections were rotting) and wheel bearings not lasting more than 5,000 miles. All i have left of it is a small piece of the lefthand switch gear.

Bought another slabby (a 1984 F model) the week after, and rode it the 60 miles to work. Hated it so much, I never rode it again, so sold to Raff (?) on VisorD***
