What I have not bought today.

Post by Lutin »

I have not bought a £5 128MB USB key for £339 - Pulling apart a £339 anti-5G USB stick

Apparently this massively overpriced USB key will protect you from 5G. Really.

More snake oil that very, very simple minded people are willing to believe. Also says a lot about Glastonbury Town Council's 5G Advisory Committee.

I find it hard to believe there is a 5G signal around Glasto to block...

Just having a 5G advisory commitee says a lot. I'd be more worried about the Ley Lines around Glastonbury radiating their supernatural energy than 5G turning my wholemeal gluten free yak yogurt intoa sentient being.

Trading standards have got in on the act - Trading Standards squad targets anti-5G USB stick

Trading Standards officers are seeking to halt sales of a device that has been claimed to offer protection against the supposed dangers of 5G via use of quantum technology.

Cyber-security experts say the £339 5GBioShield appears to no more than a basic USB drive.

"We consider it to be a scam," Stephen Knight, operations director for London Trading Standards told the BBC.

His said his team is working with City of London Police's Action Fraud squad.

They are seeking a court order to take down the company's website.

"People who are vulnerable need protection from this kind of unscrupulous trading," he added.

The intervention follows an examination of the device, which was first reported by the BBC.

The vendor - BioShield Distribution - had previously said the device was backed by "research", but has not responded to the latest development.

Today I have not been stood in a queue to get into IKEA - Coronavirus: Customers queue for hours as Ikea reopens 19 shops

Seriously, were you really that desperate to shop at IKEA?

Especially when their stuff is shoddily made and overpriced. I'd not cross the road for Ikea, never mind queue.

I've also not been sat in my car (that I don't actually have) queuing for a Big Mac - Massive queues as McDonald's reopens Scottish drive-thru restaurants

The human race amazes me at times. In this case - not in good way. ;)

My local area McD's reopened yesterday. Apparently roads were chocca and you could not get to the other shops because the poor darlings were desperate for their much missed sustenance.

I tell ye, if you could see the shopping baskets/trolleys of the locals here, you'd be surprised what they call food/fud/grub/nosh.

Anyhoo, I've nae been drinking, but want to amend that grevious error!

Today I have not bought a concoction of 15% meat, mechanically stripped from the carcass, combined with 85 percent meat filler cleansed with ammonia, which causes stomach and intestinal cancer, grilled and stuck between two pieces of bread made from bleached wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), water, high fructose corn syrup and/or sugar, yeast, soybean oil and/or canola oil, contains 2% or less of the following: salt, wheat gluten, calcium sulfate, calcium carbonate, ammonium sulfate, ammonium chloride, dough conditioners (may contain one or more of the following: sodium stearoyllactylate, datem, ascorbic acid, azodicarbonamide, mono- and diglycerides, ethoxylatedmonoglycerides, monocalcium phosphate, enzymes, guar gum, calcium peroxide), sorbic acid, calcium propionate and/or sodium propionate (preservatives), and soy lecithin from McDonalds because the queue for the drive through was half a mile long.

I am sure your amazing research will tell us which of those are actually harmful?

And which are used in normal bread use?

Or are you just copying and pasting to look good?
