Bought mine for my Dad's birthday back in Jan 2020. Booked summer 20 which was cancelled, re-booked for June 21 last year and Triumph decided not to open till JulyDruid wrote: Mon Apr 19, 2021 8:05 pmI had a voucher for a Hinckley tour as a Xmas present. I just need to book now.

We're having a great run of weather,so I'm stealing as many miles as life allows at the moment.

A few of the lads from the Triumph club took a ride to Toddington steam railway station on the Glos/Worcs border . It’s a good destination as it has a nice cafe and glorious roads en-route. Clocked up about 150 miles all in and the Speed Twin just gets better and better . My bike is in the shot just (hidden behind my mates Scrambler) and, yes, I know that’s not a steam train (it’s a Harley....)

I took Rubber Boris with me. The reaction from the guy with the GPz750 as he went to put the key in the ignition was hilarious

I hadn't planned on riding today,I usually avoid Sundays because the roads are too busy, but I woke early so decided to get a couple of hours in while all the people were still sleeping off a Saturday.
I left at 7am and was home again after 9am. Punched in 135 miles with heated grips and vest mostly on full blast! It was well cold, especially up in the hills. That's one great thing about the heated stuff,it lets me ride in comfort in temperatures I'd have been heading home after half an hour. Tyres are well scrubbed in now, very confidence inspiring the Michelin Power 5s are.

Nice 3 hr ride with a stop on the way back in Saffron Walden for a coffee. Bit chilly but not too bad. Between Linton and S Walden came across a 335d Beemer who wanted a play, he was doing 90 at times down the lanes. Too quick for me to get passed on the shopping bike but not fast enough to get away. Good fun

A significant ride - the first since my stent. Glorious day if a bit buffety, and the roads weren't as busy as that looks. Around 100 miles.

Took old fatty out for a ride after fitting new chain, sprockets and new bearings in the relay arm. Can’t believe how awful it was getting and it didn’t twig something was up, the relay arm middle bearing was seized solid and the bush was scrap hence it’s reluctance to corner, thought it was down to me losing the biking mojo a bit recently.

Small boys, jumpers for goal posts etc.
I tried to get the older one riding it but he was struggling and found it a bit heavy but they both enjoyed going on the back loads. We did nearly 20km this afternoon. I did offer the older one a proper lid but he claimed it made his ears hurt (it fits me fine...!) and wanted to wear his cycle helmet.
Dog walkers hate a motorbike it turns out!

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
I've been occupied with funeral arrangements for the last few days,so it was especially good to get up early today and detox my head.
I took some time out to remember Helen,my wife's mum in my own way. She loved those views.
I think it's getting colder instead of warmer, maybe I should have eaten something before I left, but man everything was turned up full and any speeds over 60mph were rewarded with an Arctic like blast of freezing air. A gentle couple of hours ensued.
