Curious, we've just seen the one of the biggest miscarriages of justice in the UK, innocent normal people bankrupted and at least one suicide, and we're obsessing over some wallpaper

Followed this on the R4 Special programmes. Devastating! This scandal would make many a Christian weep. Besides being C.E.O her other non Post Office roles included being a non-Executive Director at Morrisons and Dunelm and more. As for her CBE and being a C of E minister. Pft!

The Most infuriating aspect is the fact that the government are not allowing for a judge led Enquiry. Why? Because it would need to be under oath and prosecutions could take place.

“The Conservative peer James Arbuthnot described the Post Office’s actions under Vennells’ tenure as “cruel and incompetent”.

All those responsible for the damage they did to those workers should be roped in and prosecuted.

If everything was in order than I could see why Boris' wallpaper would be a big issue, but when you've got this stuff going on daily, every day, then it's really small fry. Starmer doesn't seem too keen to take on big business, he's had his wings clipped and all he can do is whine about stuff that won't ruffle any feathers.

From someone who’s politics is fairly centrist I was hoping for a lot more from Starmer than he’s delivered. He’s become like a small yappy dog, not having any policies of his own but spending his time snipping away. I was hopeful he would rise above that, be his own man and let his policies do the talking but it seems to be yet another labour disappointment.

Perhaps it’s because BJ’s policies do tend to veer towards the middle ground it’s giving Starmer no room to manoeuvre.

Corbyn/McDonnell etc. abdicated the centre ground which has now, for all intents and purposes, been occupied by Johnson/Sunak etc. With Long-Bailey, McCluskey, Lansman etc. hovering in the background Starmer has nowhere to go.

The latest Opinium poll for the Observer shows the Conservative lead has fallen from 11 points to five points after a week in which the prime minister was at the centre of allegations over the refurbishment of his Downing Street flat, and criticised for reportedly saying he would rather see “bodies pile high” than order another Covid-19 lockdown.

In the last election:

Labour: 37.7%
Conservative: 28.9%
Brexit Party: 25.8%

Seems to me that the key issue is where the Brexit Party's 25.8% will go.

We shall see.

Now that ^ is actually a proper scandal of scale, but nothing will be done, she'll just quietly retire with her millions, just like the bosses at Carillion and other companies that disappeared up their own arse whilst the directors walked away with millions. Cronyism/old boy network is very much alive and well, contracts given out to friends, people walking away with millions like the ex-Centrica boss who left with £10m whilst pensioners can't afford their energy bills, it takes the piss. I'd stop it overnight with a 99.9% tax on any commission, bonus or golden handshake over 500k.
I'd also publicly flog civil servants that abuse their expenses account.
