Just bought a similar one, but it also has an oven proof probe that you can leave in the meat while it cooks & it beeps when it reaches whatever temp you set it for. This one:
Today I bought another cast iron skillet. This time the bigger 12in version... which is perfect as I also got a couple of recipe books that are designed to be concocted in a 12in skillet. The smaller one I've been using pretty much every day for the past week or so has already turned a very nice semi gloss black instead of the dark slate/gray look it had when new.
