What bike?

Post by KungFooBob »

The thread you've all been waiting for. The cash is in the bank and the Guzzi is going in a van at 8am tomorrow morning.

Everyone can suggest a bike and I'll ignore you all and buy what I wanted in the first place. While offering ridiculous excuses as to why your suggestion was unsuitable.

What you got for up to £6k?

You can have my ST1050 for 6k. It's not worth that or doubt you'd want it anyway but it's your first offer

GSX-R1100 if I were you....

They are on the list, looks like they've started going back up, I'm sure they were a lot cheaper than they are now last time I looked.

Of course it depends what you want it for, but assuming you want something different than the Enfield and big red barge, and it's a spritely
thing with the emphasis on having that mix of enough power and light enough to make you giggle every time you ride it then yeah, for me it would be an SD (SDR ideally) R, V2 Tuono factory or 790 Duke

THe 790 would win out of those three for me, but I think you're a lanky fecker so guessing one of the other two may suit you better

If it were more sensible money, it would actually be this (I reckon 5-6k is more the mark rather what he's asking), but not interested at that price

I wanted a V2 Tuono a couple of years back, the pegs are high. REALLY high. Put me off a bit. Maybe I should look again, although I do actually prefer the older shape one.

I like the XR1200, but they're too spendy. I quite like the Buells too, but that thread about Savio's put me off a bit.

I know the Slabby's are supposed to be the best handling and most collectable, but they do nothing for me.
