Paracetamol did the trick for the wife, and a single malt. Knocked her out and she slept it off.

Wrightly or rongly my thought was that I didn't want to take anything that might lessen my body's reaction to the vaccine so I just suffered it out. It being a day or so of semi sleep, unpleasant dreams and feeling terrible. The unpleasant dreams I'm used to, I have those when I'm healthy.

They must have given me the placebo because I had no side effects at all.

Quick and easy. Walked in and ushered straight through. They had a separate clinic for English speaking. Doesn't matter how good your conversational Spanish is, need to be 100% sure for medical stuff.

No after effects. Bit tired, but that's coz I missed my afternoon nap ;)

Had the AZ jab at 2pm on Saturday.

Got a teeny bit drunk Saturday night, no more than usual.

Sunday woke up at 6am with a blinding headache. Bit of muscle ache.

Popped some pills and felt alright around midday.

4pm it all started to go wrong, I was super tired, started to feel really cold and shivery. Jumped in a hot bath and felt fine.

Got out of hot bath an immediately felt shit again. Went to bed at 9:30, wrapped up in the duvet felt just the right temp, but I was sweating like a bastard for the next two hours, the bed was soaked, it was like a swimming pool!

11pm, stopped sweating, felt fine, went to sleep.

This morning I reckon I'm back to 95% normal (for me).

Depends a bit on which vaccine you have.

Here the AZ is around 8-10 weeks apart but Pfizer is 3-6 weeks apart

It's ten weeks up here, the logic being is gives a couple of weeks allowance for non availability of the jabbee and still be within twelve weeks. Most of the jabs are given on Fridays or over the weekend. A busy weekend will see 10% of the islands' population being done.

My second jab is on May 1st.

I've booked myself in for jab 2 on May 17th. I had "Boris's AZ MonkeySex"™ vaccine first time around but I'm only being offered the Pizzer for jab #2, because of "science reasons". Help!, HELP!! - they're experimenting on me, stealing my personality and filling me up with microchips. Devious bastards.

I'm feeling slightly bad fettle but not sure if its a girly hangover or the vaccine.
Well 22 hours after the AZ jab and yeab I'm feeling pretty rough.
Shivering in bed last night and now generally aching all over with a fair headache as well.

From what I heard if I still have a headache a few days later then its possibly an issue but at this early stage its kind of expected.
Well, third day after it and I've not been feeling noticeably ill at all today.
Took a couple of cold and flu tablets before I set off to work this morning as a kind of just in case measure but the rest of the day felt fine.

From all that ^ I reckon its all run pretty much as expected and they booked me for the next jab.

Mind, with so many countries* acting as massive Petri dishes and mixing viruses with gay abandon I'm guessing we'll all be getting another version of a vaccine to combat another version of the virus next year.

*this one included.

I was given a card at the first session, which gave dates, batch numbers and type of vaccine and telling me the date/time for number two jab. This was then updated with the booster info.

I don't know if it matters much, unless countries begin asking for proof of vaccination.
