Quiet day today, recovering gently from yesterday, which involved: lying absolutely still, unsedated,.
for 2 hours, while a team of 7 or 8 very skilled and focused people fiddled around inside my chest. I'm quite a chilled sort usually, but I had to really concentrate to maintain that, watching the wires making their way around my heart.
Upshot: I have only 1 blockage (good) which they weren't able to stent as it was calcified and the narrowing was so small they could only get the guide wire through, not the stenting balloon (hence 2 hrs instead of 30 min). So... rotablation. Basically Black and Decker, Kango, angle grinder, JCB for the big bits. Not sure when. Ho hum. Missing the bike....

Tonight's French lesson focussed on pronunciation!! LOL

It's bad enough that there are words that are only one letter different and have 'almost' the same sound but mean opposites!!

Dessus - top
Dessous - under

But tonight I was trying to make the different sounds for these three -

un milieu
un moelleux
mielleux

Sooooo similar!! At least these three mean different things!! LOL

I still struggle to get my tongue around 'mille feuille' - well, not literally, but pronunciation wise!! LOL

And for some reason immatriculation ties my tongue in knots!! LOL

But never mind. I'm still learning which is good!! I told the teacher that today, for the first time in a long time, someone screwed up their face when listening to me. Most people can work out my words without making 'that' face. But she reckons it's more to do with them than how I speak

Now if you use the less reliable device in a modern toilet you are less likely to spot a problem but water meters mean the water companies aren't bothered anymore.
Ours have a vertical 1in tube. If they overfill, the excess goes down that tube into the pan. The one I just messed with is set about 1.5in below the top of the tube

I decided NOT to use the Tony Soprano line, he's probably heard it a million times. ;)

Have to go back in June for a biopsy.

Had a couple of cans of cider in the back garden with the guy across the road and talked about life in general.

Subjects included motorbikes ,cars, gardening, archery, keeping fit and all sorts of other stuff.

It seems ages since I’ve been able to do that and it was a nice few hours.

He was at his therapists office & they were discussing health. She asked if he'd had a prostate exam & he came back with "I don't even let people wave their finger in my face"

Had a chat with a friend this morning about how the sun was almost warm enough that we could sit out in it!! First time since Feb! Whilst we were chatting, three gendarmes walk past - no issues, she was standing on the road, I was leaning on the window sill and calling down to her!

Chilled a bit, went to have a cuppa with a friend then to the valley for physio. Only the 3rd time I've missed curfew by so much!! But when the appointment finishes as curfew starts and it takes longer to drive back up the mountain cos of the physio, I was never going to be back even close to 7pm!!

Struggling with physio - mine left resort so I planned to go see one I knew in the valley. He's not there this week. Ok I thought, I can see another new one for a week. But the newbie said that Alex is only there for three weeks, then it's back to the newbie again - not that he'll be much of a newbie I suppose
I just don't like the changing for new physios. But hey ho. Needs must. Just a bugger that I have to drive for 30 minutes each way to see someone :( :( Roll on summer and the return of the physio in resort!! :D :D

I just had what was left of that ribeye steak with some scrambled eggs (from the neighbours chickens) for breakfast and I'm about to take the boy and the dog to football training. My son is playing, the dog just has a walk.

First cup of tea consumed, grill on ready for bacon, lounge hoovered and dog is being walked / taken for his morning shite. Sun is now hitting the garden ready for me to head out and make a lot of mess and noise :D
