So I have looking into a certain tuning firm
Of which shall remain nameless.
I've been looking into some of their dyno results compared to other well known and respected tuners.
One in particular leapt out to me of a popular british naked.
Pre tune they got 110 and post tune 120
Nearly every other dyno run comes out 117-119 standard.
So for your considerable cash input you might get between 1 and 4 hp. However with the original readout of 110 you have to wonder at the 'accuracy' of their dyno.
Secondly i noticed that although the baro pressure remained relatively constant, the humidity and room temps had changed significantly, with the room temperature dropping by 5c in 45 mins as the day approached noon.

Dyno's use error correction to make up for differences in temp and humidity.
There's several standards something like your typical dynojet dyno can use.
As a punter you should always ask for SAE or ECC correction.
Some unscrupulous operators will do the before and after runs then apply different error correction to each to make a gain look bigger.
The chart should show the error correction used, if it says 'uncorrected' it's not worth shit.

5C drop is a significant drop which in itself would show a change in power output.
Whole point of ramair, intercooling, etc is to make the air going in as cold as possible.
Telling the machine that its colder and then applying a correction will also do that.

Aerodynamic drag is a square law so from 110 to 120 will not make much difference to top speed.

I think the tuner in question has been doing postal remaps during lockdown. He sends you the new map in an envelope. You place the envelope on top of the ECU and leave it overnight and by morning you've gained 25 bhp.
It's the same principle as leaving an audio book playing while you sleep so you absorb information to pass an exam. The bike "learns" that it needs to go a fucking sight faster or it's going on Autotrader. By morning it's essentially been blue-printed and grown another cylinder. And the best bit is it's all completely untraceable. No electronic or engineering expert anywhere in the world will be able to detect that anything's been done or identify the slightest difference over a standard bike. It's fantastic and an absolute bargain for £300.
I'm thinking of having my 1190 done twice so it'll make 200 bhp. Can't wait to stick it to all those twats with their V4s and superchargers.
