I had the AZ jab on Thursday, sore arm, felt a bit hungover on Friday but right as rain after some paracetamol.

The Doris had her AZ jab on the previous Saturday, arm ache lasted a few days, day after jab was a wipe out due to flu like symptoms, back to work feeling rough on the Monday and good as gold on the Tuesday.

First jab- slept for a day. Sore arm.

Second jab - no side effects, not even a sore arm.

Both Pfizer.

Wife had AZ - light shivers for a day but nothing more.

I had the jab last week. I think I lucked out as no ill effects at all.

OAZ with no side effects at all, but then my Mum always said of me; No sense, no feeling! :hmmm: :D

Daughters boyfriend is 26 and just had his first jab on Saturday afternoon. Woke up at 2 in the morning feeling like ice but my daughter said he was really hot to the touch. He wanted to ring 999/111 as he'd never felt so ill in his life. Does seem like the OAZ makes a lot of people ill for a varying amount of times?

They all have the potential to make you feel a bit shitty. Mrs W was ok after her first Pfizer jab, but bad as a dog after her second. I felt just a little bit yucky after my first OAZ. It only lasted a day.

I had the AZ jab 5 weeks ago and had no side effects at all. It's probably because I'm old.

Why do those with the pfizer jab have to wait about? When I had my AZ I was straight out again?

Have no idea why I had to wait around. When Mrs had her Pfizer at a different location she also had to wait 15 mins. Perhaps it's different between different hospital trusts.

Seems to be just the Pfizer, as everyone I know that has had it has to wait 15 minutes. But no one I know that has had the AZ one has to wait about?

AFAIK the guidance is that you have to wait 15 minutes and are supervised for the Pfizer, and that you should wait for 15 minutes after the AZ. It's to do with a greater risk if anaphylactic shock.

Caveat: I'm not a doctor. I did see a doctor once though, he didn't see me, I was hiding.

You have to wait a bit after giving blood FFS, it's just reasonable care, nothing to read into it.

FWIW I drove straight home after my AZ jab. Rules being for the guidance of fools and the blind obedience of wise men.

I'm not dead yet.

Mrs has all the shit to treat anaphylactic shock.

I asked her to give me a nice adrenaline shot.

She told me fuck off, you don't need any more of that.

Dunno what she's talking about.
