For testing BB code, inserting pics, inserting videos etc.

How do you get you avatar size down so small?

I was going to use my TRC one but that's a whopping 12kb! How do I go about getting it below the 6kb limit with basic windows 10 tools?

I opened mine with WIndows Office 10 and resized it down to below 6kb

I've got a really old macbook pro, all photos etc are on Picassa 3. I can't figure out how to reduce to get the perfect avatar. :D :D

Just as a note on this... Often forums are paid for by the amount of data used... So a 12kb avatar used a gazillion times a day soon stacks up...

With that in mind, might it be worth considering dropping the 'attachments' functionality, or at least having the idea on the back burner if we find ourselves running close to bandwidth / data limits?
