Does a bike have to do well in tests?
Having said that it's got a decent review in the MCN link. I'm guessing it's biggest problem is it's a bit between classes. It's not really a litre bike despite being a 950, it'd be battered by the old 600 Supersports as too heavy/low in power, it's not a budget middleweight and it's no super middleweight either as a Street triple/MT09 etc are cheaper lighter and more power.
But it's probably a good bike to ride in it's own right.

Kinda yes. A few of my mates who've ridden them have jumped off them a bit 'meh' about them too, which makes me think 'meh'. Not that a sportsbike now is on the cards for me, but it would have been an option for Mrs Weeksy potentially. But if reviews/tests/longterms come out terribly, the odds are, it's not a brilliant machine.

Ah see what you mean. I assumed in group tests etc, as the MCN review wasn't bad.

It was better than most i've seen on the Supersport yes... but still not glowing with plaudits. I do like to think i've bought the best of the best at times, even if only in my own mind. I don't take the reviews 100% into my decisions on new bikes, but they have to play a factor and if buying a Ducati i want it to be 'special' in all sorts of ways.

If I wanted a Ducati to tour on, I'd buy a Multistrada, if I wanted a Ducati sports bike, I'd buy a V2 Panigale.
I dn't think I've ever seen a Supersport out in the wild, have Ducati actually sold any?

I've seen at least 1 on the road, but that's probably about it.

Never even heard of it until now.
Presumably only wealthy beginners buy them?

They're arguably seen as the tamer of the big Ducatis yeah, so not exactly a V4 in power, but it's not exactly lacking in the engine department though so would be good fun in the right hands i bet.

It's probably a really good roadbike 108 BHP and good handling.
It's expensive for what it is though but that's Ducati's init.
