Restoring faded seat... how to?

Post by Asian Boss »

The dark blue seat on my XL has faded (mainly on the top surface) to a sort of turquoise. It's scruffier and more camp that would be ideal.

Any ideas how to remedy this?

I have tried 303 Aerospace Protectorant which seemed to be the option of the detailing world. But it hasn't obviously helped.

I guess I could get it recovered but that's expensive and makes it non-original. And I think there are vinyl dyes which I guess I should read up on more... but it would be hard to dye round the white '200R' writing on the sides without it looking shit I fear.
To a kid looking up to me, life ain't nothing but bitches and money.

Replace it with with a custom made brown leather one, with diamond stitching.
