LOL you've seen the upcoming forecast of glorious sunshine then.
I'm not going quite as extreme as that myself, but i have got a little less burly on the front of mine.

So nice to be outside today, sun was great, almost got burnt. Got 60 odd km done, 1st ride in 3/4 weeks, MTB tomorrow as well.

We never did more than 150m from the start posting by today, but did loop after loop and ride after ride in Southampton bike park.

Re: 2021, riding mileage and updates
Loving the pics, Ming.
I have, I regret to say, piled all the weight I’d lost back on over winter. No riding during those months.
I’ve set myself an extremely ambitious target of riding at least 20km a day for a 100 days this year. In a row. That’s MTB miles not your swanning about on roads miles.
Out again today for ride 3. 35km and I’m dead. Last year I was getting up in to the 70s and 80kms. Also, my times were a good minute down on each section compared to last year. A minute !
I have noticed that tubeless are harder to pedal than tubes. Well, I say pedal I mean freewheel - but pedal too. Last year, I could considerably more coasting. Still, I’ll hopefully not get stranded by a flat and that’s reassuring.

Re: 2021, riding mileage and updates
Did 22km at Peaslake today, good fun, first ride today in the dry, moved the controls and it feels a lot nicer, need to sort out the brakes and then its sorted.
My hand gave up before I did, the bumps and vibrations got a bit sore at the end though. all in all good fun.

Re: 2021, riding mileage and updates
Got out whilst the wife’s working, hit Swains lane for a few laps. Bloody hard. Nice day though and warm. I had my 2nd go at the dirty Wkend 5 lap challenge. Going to go back Saturday for another stab at it.

I got a 2nd worldwide today, impressed. 323 people have ridden it including plenty of the locals I ride with.

Re: 2021, riding mileage and updates
As i had a day off yesterday i managed to get in about 16 miles off road on the dunes and sand trails ...........my only issue is that due to all the high winds in the last week or 2 the terrain has changed completely on the trails as some originally clear sections now have deep sand and some deep areas are now flat ......go figure
So what happened on the windy ride yesterday was 20 mph head wind on the way out, 20 mph tailwind on the way back which meant hammering along an open stretch in top ring and almost highest gear that previously was flat but now has deep sand...... as i found out when i hit it and the front dug in and i couldnt shift the weight back over the rear wheel quick enough, weaved and snapped sideways throwing me over the bars and into the grass at the side ....doh
When i took the pic i could see the weaving tyre trail and where the bike ended up but doesnt show as clear
no injuries thankfully as last time i did that i fucked my shoulder so badly it needed surgery to fix
