Re: What have you done today thread?
No more crap food from April 1st, got an early start on that, found this rather splendid looking recipe for salmon with green beans, mushrooms & sweet taters. Yesterday I hit WallyWorld, Costco & Stater Bros for all the gubbins.
Today I spent about an hour or so following the recipe to the letter. Everything came out looking just like the pic that accompanied the recipe.
The sauce was made from tahini, rice vinegar, fresh ground ginger & honey.
Couldn't taste a bloody thing.

I made hot cross buns First time I've had success with them. Very happy! Think I'll have to make some more on Friday! LOL (A few people will be getting these instead of easter eggs!

Taken delivery of a food parcel. I say food parcel, it's more like 4 bin bags of out of date food blagged by my spawn in law.

Just had a flashback to when I was banging a succession of Italian gals when I lived in London around 40 years ago. I had totally forgotten about this
Trinity765 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 29, 2021 2:52 pm I had a new tyre fitted at lunchtime (Angel GT2) and then headed to the seafront to meet up with an Italian friend. They introduced me to ice cream in a croissant which in Italy would be ice cream in a warm brioche, I'll pause a second for you to imagine that........... It was nice to be doing something "normal" for this time of year.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Asked my kid to clipper my hair. Looked pretty good.
Only a couple of hours later I went to the loo, looked in the mirror where the light is much brighter, turned my head to one side and saw the massive landing strip she'd accidentally given me.

Fily has, successfully, achieved several trims for me during the last year.
The most recent one, though, was apparently a good enough likeness to earn me a new nickname.
Even bland can be a type of character

For those of us with Gluten intolerance all these pictures of fantastic looking cakes are cruel and unusual punishment.

Re: What have you done today thread?
That was an old picture. I have a gluten intolerance and gave it up two years ago. It crept back into my diet over lockdown (pancakes mainly) and then I remembered why I stopped eating it so I'm almost back to zero gluten againMingtheMerciless wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 8:43 am For those of us with Gluten intolerance all these pictures of fantastic looking cakes are cruel and unusual punishment.
There are no decent substitutes.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I just over 3k miles I've had one puncture and pulled out 2 nails/screws.
I found this today,in sideways,it must have been there a while as I didn't notice it until the tyre wore down to make the threads visible.
Roads are fulla shite.
