My lunch time cycle ride today

Post by Le_Fromage_Grande »

I just had an interesting lunch break, went for a cycle ride, chain snapped about 4 miles out, so I'm pushing the bike back and there's an old bloke at Martlesham Heath control tower who asks what's wrong, so I tell him, he says he's got a split link in his car and the tools to fix it, turns out he didn't have a split link but did have the right chain for my bike, we fit the chain, I cycle home and then pop back and give him £20 for the chain - I think I should buy a lottery ticket.

Great pedal to the pub. Burger n chips, no rolls or sandwiches but very nice, washed down with 2 pints of San Miguel. Sunny table so lovely and warm, superb. 🍻

Another lovely ride for a pub lunch. 2 pints of Guinness and a Guinness and steak pie to match.
Red Lion, Wistanwick, Shropshire outback. 👍
