Yep there is fresh snow up here at the moment, (only on the top of the hills) and is very cold in the mornings
Oh that’s bonkers given the warm weather we’ve had! Mind you I’ve had to wrap up all my budding plants for tonight coz I think we’re going to have a bloomin frost! Not snow though. Mind you, great view!
I think these two beauties are Jackdaws. Started appearing a few days ago, now sit on the fence until I put birdseed in the feeder thing I’ve invented.
Not sure why it’s side on, sorry!!

I reckon you’re right. i think Jackdaws have that greyish band around their necks.
Er this isn’t something I’d usually photograph but this is a sad and rather strange thing I saw whilst out on our countryside walk (from home!) this morning. It’s a distinctly deceased fox but situated in the most bizarre position. It looked as if it was standing up in the grass and there wasn’t really any indication of what or who might have killed it. We did see one alive not far from that recently and it was the most beautiful creature. Shame for the dead one.

There's a fishing pool down the lane from our house, while I've been off work I've been watching a pair of swans build a nest up there. The eggs hatched in the last couple of days and today they've been taking a tour around the lake
