Played with my dongle

Post by ZRX61 »

Arrived today, plugged it into the car, worked out how the fuck to get bluetooth working on my (somewhat retarded) smart phone, got the code, picking up a new O2 sensor probably tomorrow.
Thank fuck it's the one on the rear bank upstream of the Cat & not the one downstream under car that requires far too much faffing about to remove.

At the time I ordered the Torque App dongle doodad & downloaded the app I also ordered an Autel ML629.
Dongle doodad threw out the one code for the O2 sensor (which I already knew about)
The Autel arrived today & that threw out 4 codes including the O2 sensor, one of which is the antilock brake doohickey doesn't communicate with whatever it talks to above 30mph. The other two were minor crap.
Sensor is getting installed tomorrow as I'll be waiting on the new PingFuckit for the ZRX.

"antilock brake doohickey doesn't communicate with whatever it talks to above 30mph. "

If your lucky one of the sensors just needs a wipe with a cloth.

FFS, took at least 20 minutes of fuckery just to get the goddamn electrical connector for the O2 sensor disconnected.. & maybe two minutes to remove & replace the sensor.
Codes cleared, off to the smog test place. Passed, sorted.
