Think the Bimota SB5 had an oil boiler (not burner you spanner) 1100 engine in it as well.

The RFs were water cooled.

Shit loads of Suzukis were air / oil cooled.

Without going into mega detail there are the following oil cooled Suzuki engines that I can remember

600 used in Bandits and Teapots
Long stroke GSXR750 (there are 4 versions of this)
Short stroke GSXR750
Short stroke GSX750 used in Bandits, Inazumas and Teapots
Slabby 1074
Slingshot 1127 (at least 2 versions)
GSX1100F tourer has a unique engine
GSX1100G shafty
Bandit 1200 used in Bandits, Inazumas and the GS1200SS

GSXR engines have straight cut primary gears and roller cam chains, Bandits have helical primaries and hyvo cam chains.

Bimota SB6 and 7 have water cooled GSXR engines, and you have to take the engine out to change the gearbox sprocket.

Oops, fail on my part.
I should have realised it was 1135 and not 1127cc.

I think that was the GS1200SS.

Isn't any non watercooled bike with an oil cooler fitted essentially oil cooled? GS500E, 750 Katana and GSX1400 for example.

The X meant 4 cylinder.

OR..

The 'GS' portion is a designation for Suzuki street bikes, going back a long ways. the 'X' means dual overhead camshafts, and the 'R' denotes racing.

I thought the X meant 4 valves per cylinder. GS is 2V per cylinder, GSX is 4V per cylinder across the range AFAIR.

Correct for most of the world, but in the US, GSXs were sold as GSs

Didn't those suzuki engines spray the underside of the piston with oil to cool it, or something specific?
