750 Rocket 3

I did think the tank looked a bit Rocket 3. I'd never noticed the resemblence when mounted on the Conti GT.

I'm jonesing for a Z with a Harris now, must stay away from ebay...

My life would be easier if I'd stayed away from eBay and not bought a Z, on the other hand, the Z has led to me making friends with a great bunch of blokes with similar interest to me, I even achieved my youthful desire to have a motorcycle in a mainstream motorcycle magazine.

Weirdly, yes, I was in Trail Bike Magazine a couple of times in 2002, but that died soon afterwards, a picture of my bike in Practical Sportsbike magazine at Cadwell in 2019 was really good.

On our Zs, my Harris sounded better than my cousin's Piper 4-1, but neither were as cool as the Sebring he got later. My other mate had a Motad Neta but then he did kiss me once which kind of says it all about Netas

The Piper I had on a (imported from US) KZ900 sounded quite tasty. I cut the baffle down to 3inches & shortened the pipe so it ended at the mount welded to it, so basically right by the rear peg. Had to stuff a metal pan scourer down the loud end to get it through an MOT.
