This 2021 Ducati Monster is a major step away from what’s gone before, not least because Ducati have dropped the trademark trellis frame in a move which raised eyebrows around the Ducatisti world. But fear not, get on board and it still feels very much like the Monster we know and love. If anything, it feels even more Monster-ish.

The resulting transformation is truly astonishing. We are now in the presence of a more complete and refined machine, equipped with first-rate components. Overall weight reduction has been impressive and as a result the Borgo Panigale factory has given birth to an extremely agile – yet surprisingly stable at high speeds – bike, even without using a steering damper.

The chassis is excellent and can easily handle the feisty engine. This really will push the likes of Yamaha’s MT-09 SP. A set of fully adjustable forks would have been a nice touch, though

More Audi than Ducati. Hate it.

Oh well, it may boost the 2nd hand values of the last gen Monsters like mine..

GP's 1200 is nice and probably a much better bike, but I really like the 1100's. I might buy one some day.

I agree with what's been said, looks too Japanese. I'm sure it rides well but it doesn't look very Ducati.

You can usually instantly recognise a Ducati, this would certainly take more than one look. Definitely prefer the older model!

If I was on the market for one I'd certainly check it out,but it's going to need to be special to win over the Ducatisti.

Visually GP's bike is a quality item, whereas it looks like they've tried to make the new one as anonymous as possible. Take off the tank decal and....could be any make.

The only Monster I'd prefer to own rather than mine is the 1100 Evo. I think they are better than money in the bank.
Its the ultimate incarnation of the aircooled Monster IMO, Its kighter than mine and still has 100bhp.

Have to confess I can hardly tell one Monster from another, but that 1100 Evo is lovely. Just the right sort of proportions, as the original monster intended.
