It'll always be useful and something you can keep close-ish (within blade carrying laws). Might even be useful when out on the push-iron too. Could even get it engraved.
For most people a cheap multimeter is more than good enough, most people use them for continuity testing and seeing if they've got 12volts, unless you're repairing electronics a cheap one will more than do the job
FUnny you mention it as i've got a front sprocket one on the ZX6R that won't come off currently... But i've needed an impact driver twice in 20 years...
I was a Snap-on dealer for 9 years and still have a good relationship with the guy that covers this area.
Snap-on do a T handled ratchet screwdriver and it's definitely the most used of any of my kit. I have a Gearwrench one thats particularly sweet without being Snap On prices.
Mind, I do have a hard handle stubby ratchetting screwdriver bit holder made by Snap On (my second cos I lost the first) and thats pretty much the nicest I've ever used by a long way.
Short so gets into tight spaces and easy to carry.
Doesn't look much but I lost the first one (can't complain cos I found it in the first place) I had and every other manufacturers versions I used just pissed me right off to the point where I bought another.
One for me but I doubt many on here would value as much is my Veritas Low Angle Blockplane. It's a joy to hold and use.

For me a 50th present tool needs to be something that you wouldn't normally buy yourself, doesn't need batteries or a power supply so is not going to break and something that can be passed down as a family heirloom. I have a really nice set of Irwin chisels I got from my Dad, they are an heirloom tool. One of my favourite tools is a no 3 Thor copper-hide mallet, A cheap plastic mallet would do the same job, but the Thor a joy to use, and it was a gift from someone special.
