Apparently somewhere around 215bhp....Which is just fucking bonkers in my mind. But i guess they have to build them fast so they've got a baseline for homologation into WSB... Not that the Aprilia does well in WSB... but it may do better now !

I've noticed that for the last few months I've started to develop selective bike blindness. As new bike prices edge up and lots of them are now between £15-20k+ new I've just stopped looking at them beyond an initial nice/horrible glance as I'll never buy one new and unlikely 2nd hand for either never or a very long time until they come down to my budget.

That looks nice though.

That is a very good point. I struggled with my XSR being £7000. That's a LOT in my book. So with new bikes being 3X that figure now, well, that's not going to happen.
I feel the same about MTBs too, most of the ones i see now are more than my XSR !

I'm glad its not just me who feels uncomfortable with spending > £6k on a bike. I had to implement some very dubious man-logic to justify my latest purchase.

I'm the same. I ideally don't want to spend more than 7 on my next bike max. Why? Cos I only do 2500-3000 a year and it's hard to justify spending more in my head. I could spend more or get on the PCP gravy train, but my head wins that argument.

I toyed with spending a lot less - a mk1 Aprilia Tuono with low miles could be had for less than £3k. Same sort of attitude, same riding position, probably just as mental and with a few tweaks are pretty versatile and capable. But heart beat head on that one.

Not exactly pillion friendly, so, glad I can ride and don't need to go pillion!! LOL LOL

I'm never going to be able to buy a new sports bike - TBF, I never have had the money to buy a new sports bike - so I'll just enjoy looking :D :D :D

Its either my earnings haven't risen at the same rate as bike prices or I've got tight in my older age but I stopped looking at new bikes a few years ago

It's funny isn't it? I think a large part of it is the fact you get acclimatised to how much bikes cost when you first started looking but then your brain fails to move on - unless you're buying brand new bikes regularly that is. When I was 18 and looking at bikes I couldn't afford a 996 was about £10k ISTR...so in my mind an unobtainable fancy Ducati is still £10k! 600's were £5-6k so it seems totally unreasonable to me that even an A2 'novice' bike costs that much now.

With it being 1100cc it won't do very well at all in wsb, because it won't be allowed to race any way.
Rsv4's are like 911's of the car world, always look the same but just slightly tweaked every now and then

On a related note I was looking at Tuono's and was surprised that 2014 sort of ages of V4 were within my budget. I then looked at 5 ads. Of them 3 had misfire/electrical, engine or gearbox issues. Shame as that's a cracking looking thing.

I like the looks, I don't like the price or the power.

3 engine modes, Race, Track and Sport. I need at least 2 more Dry Chicken and Wet Chicken.

They were a bugger to get running right when they came out. My pal is a top spanner man and made a few bob getting them to run. But was hard work.

I like the shape, but the shellsuit paintjob looks naff to me.

Aren't Italian bike makers in general known to be a bit optimistic with BHP figures? Regardless it'll be quick anyway.

I think I'm over sportsbikes for the road,so I doubt if I'd buy that any time soon.
