Watched a thing about some of the concerns regarding how a this works and that the US switching off some of its primary radar capabilities a while ago. It's at a hacking convention and the bloke doing it is a bit... Hmmm.....but its interesting information all the same and assuming he knows his stuff (how the hell would I know?) he raises some real concerns about how easy it might be to spoof aircraft location to the air traffic control or add lots of ghost aircraft.

To be fair to him, he does present this as a thing as a security flaw that needs to be adressed rather than something thats fun to play with.
Quite an interesting and eye opening talk.

Red Arrows just lifted from Scampton, what’s on today for them? Might just be training or test flight, not moving far from take off. And back on the ground.

Nordboy, did you see where they went??

Mick
Sorry, only just logged back on. They flew from Lorient airport in Brittany, not sure if they're based there? They just flew out over the sea and were doing circuits.

There's been a few Globemasters over the Uk the last week. Things just seem easier to find now the skies are quieter?

I think that may be the idea? I don't think NPAS want you to know they're on the way if you're doing something you shouldn't be? S**tbags would be live monitoring FR24 so they know when to scarper! ;)

Whereas the air ambulance don't mind you knowing they're on the way.

That was my thought as well. Is there such a thing as radio scanners nowadays or has that all ended with digital radio?

All gone now with the digitally encrypted airwaves system, unless you physically have an airwaves set, you shouldn't be able to monitor the channels. I'm sure there's some clever dick somewhere who has hacked it though!!

G-UASA is currently flying near Pwllheli, N Wales. Google shows that as a SAR drone registered to Bristow, it's an interesting looking thing.

There's three of them over Brittany at the moment if you wanted to track them? Between Lorient, Rennes and St Brieuc areas

There's an RAF Hercules that's been having a bit of low level fun over south west Scotland this morning.

Yep, been following him on and off this morning, there’s also a Voyager tanker , I think, been off Aberdeen doing circuits or trading, he’s 9n his way back to Brize now, heading over the N Yorks Moors.
How do you get that graph, are you a FR24 subscriber?

Not a subscriber, the graphs are on the left hand info pane.
Scroll down to the 'Speed Altitude Graph' section, clicking the section title bar expands the section to show the graph, that you can then pop out from the info pane onto the main chart.

The above is for the web site not the App, there its part of the 'More info' section at the bottom.

I saw the Voyager was out over the sea off Aberdeen, I think it was doing circuits in a 'tanking box' there are a few of these designated zones around the UK where air to air refuelling takes place. There were probably a few 'little buddies' using it to keep topped up whilst on exercise.

Every days a school day, didn’t know that was there, cheers.
There’s also been a tanker off the Essex coast, probably doing the same.

I was following him earlier in the hope that he would fly 15 miles or so further North before he headed down the Nith Valley to Dumfries. Loving the graphs though, need to check them out

There's an Antonov An-225 that'll be crossing southern England very soon on its way to Shannon airport here in the Republic.

Call sign ADB3429.
