Kids on bikes

Post by Couchy »

I know weeksys lad James is doing well on his mtb so who else has their young uns riding ?

My daughter is now 7 and has been riding 3 years now. Happy to ride upto 15 miles at a steady pace but being small she hasn’t the power for steep climbs yet but does enjoy some gentle downhill stuff 👍 Recently moved to a new Hoy bike and loves it

One minor comment, I've never seen her out of the saddle on any trail or feature. Maybe something to work on? I know in ebike world sitting is more common, so maybe she gets it from watching you?

She stands up on the hills to pedal harder but isn’t comfy elsewhere too much yet 👍

Practice in the close, shifting weight and u turns etc out of saddle. Will help I'd say.

Deffo get her to whatever the local training is at Pines too, it brings them on massively

Definately I’ve been asking and will do when allowed 👍
