Tyre kink ??

Post by Dodgy69 »

New bike arrived today. Quick spin with wife on ebike and front tyre has, what I call a kink. Got home removed tyre, put back on and still there, but has moved around rim, so not wheel. Is there a fix or will it be tyre wire kink and put up with it. ??

Post a picture please, You say new but not if that is brand new or new to you,but I would suggest that the kink is from it stood on something whilst in storage or shipping If it came from a dealer I would try to get them to replace the tyre.

Brand new bike delivered yesterday. You wouldn't see much on photo but when riding on smooth road you can feel it. When I pick up front and spin wheel you see a slight buckle/kink in tyre. Tyre is seated in rim correctly, uniform around rim. Just seems in treaded area . 🤷‍♂️

I also noticed creaking from frame, not sure it was put together very well. Bought from bike republic online.

Cheers.
