Lord, those were so unpopular I'm amazed they found one to modify.

I'm sure the XZ was one of the bikes that the likes of the 'used bike guide' I used to read in the 90s were always telling you to avoid like the plague.

Other than that - nice job!

I'm finding it increasingly harder to find bikes that you lot approve of... When i do think i've found it, you hate it LOL.

I was sure that BMW was a shit-fest yesterday and it went down really well.

This one i thought would be right up your street and you all hate it.

I'm not even sure what to go for next.

That is gorgeous. Except the mirror. And I'm suspicious of the side stand.

That is, as has been said already, an absolutely gorgeous piece of work on a shit donor bike.

I think, as a group, we're all too middle aged and a bit straight, man. Anything outside of something that looks a bit classic and we all go a bit Victorian Dad.

I was always encouraging folk on trc to go to the Bike Shed Show - it has bikes like the ones you've been putting up oozing from its gills - but one whiff of a hipster (yes, there are loads natch') and it's like you become President of the bumming hat club.

I like it. So it's not got a brilliant engine, meh. I doubt very few modified bikes actually improve on the what the factory put out so most mods are just cosmetic.

At least they didn't use the original 4 spoke wheels, they were properly hideous.

Looks nice but 2 strokes too many and shaft drive. I reckon yo'd see that from afar at a bike meet and wait for the shreik from the exhausts when it start up. Only to be disappointed when it duff, duffs away like some old Harley.

Shaft drives were an early method of preventing wheelies. Primitive traction control,if you like.
