Classic scrambled eggs cooked over a Bain Marie.

It takes faaaaakin ages, but by golly is it worth it. :D

I must be a slow mood today, I've also got 2kg of onions slowly making their way towards being onion soup. That's gonna take the rest of today but I expect that to also be delicious.

I really can't grasp the whole "food is fuel" mantra.

Obviously it works for plenty of people and fair play to them, but for me there are very very few pleasures greater than some decent nosh.

I LOVE cooking and baking. But I often struggle to be bothered when it's just for one. I'd prefer to have friends round and cook a meal to enjoy as a group. Sadly my place is too small for that.

Guess it's why I make cakes a lot - easy to share and people like cake! :banana-dance:

Finally sorted my home office properly so asked IT to send me a monitor rather than using my Laptop.

I was expecting them just to nab one off a desk. They've sent me a brand new 27" 4K one :D

My spreadsheets never looked so good.

Less than 2 years ago we bought a nice looking 8 seater patio lounger/diner thingy.

But the plastic wicker effect deteriorated rather too quickly. Was structurally ok though.

The shop told us to bugger off as they didn't cover patio stuff due to the mental sun strength.

That's 899€ down the swanny.

But over here you can make a claim to the Govt office and they decide what's fair.

Just got a call from shop to say we've got a 899€ voucher to spend.

It's mainly a big DIY shop, so gonna be fun :D
But it also sells cushions and stuff, so got to stop her buying loads of shite :(

Just buy another set of the same stuff and do the same in two year's time.

There's no loser here, right?

It's 90% workable and strong. Just needs covers.

We've heard of a few folk with same problems, so probably discontinued now anyway.

Over four weeks I spent £260 on fuel getting to and fro work.
I was told that I would receive £130.50 per week (£522) travel allowance, + £135 owed from a trip I made in December.

My bosses decided that I should also get my usual ski hire allowance £500 !!

They rounded it up and gave me £1200. I know that's not much to some of you, but due to the way I live, that's a months wages !!!

Don't put yourself down, £1200 is a significant amount and you should be pleased.

Just walked into town to watch the footy and passed my pal's bar on the way.
Staunch Scouser and him and his pals in shock and awe after another defeat.

I didn't mention that they'll be 8th if Spurs win later.
And didn't mention that they are 22 points from top, but only 17 points from relegation.

Oh no, not me ;)

I was pleased greatly to see Piers Morgan get a strop on, turn into a complete snowflake live on TV & storm off the set to hide in a closet somewhere because some chap called him out of his attitude & bullshit.

Had a nice day out with the missus and the bike averaged nigh on 50 MPG.

Ya don't buy a GSXR1000 for fuel efficiency, but to a careful Yorkshireman, every little helps :)

I got a generator I pulled out of a skip running. It needed the recoil starter restrung, the carb cleaning out and the fuel tap sorting so it let fuel flow.

If getting one scrapped generator to run made me happy then getting a second one to run should make even happier.

This one needed a plug cap. And a borrowed carb as the on it was as filthy a carb as I've seen. GX200 clones are all the same so the carb got robbed off the water pump for testing. I'll be ordering a new one tonight.
